StreetDeck Parklet Examples

Kannapolis, NC
To transform an entire city block, Kannapolis installed two expansive 64-foot StreetDeck parklets, each created by connecting two 32-foot decks. The result: a vibrant pedestrian-friendly space with abundant seating and greenery. For a custom touch, the city chose a glossy black stainless steel finish that complements the local aesthetic and added their own planters to break up the long deck into inviting sections.

Shakopee, MN
We delivered multiple parklets to the beautiful town of Shakopee, MN located just outside of Minneapolis. Not only did they order multiple decks, but multiple lengths and widths as well, including a unique 14’ wide (deep) parklet that accommodates 8 outdoor dining tables. The Ipe wood deck tiles have aged wonderfully and continue to provide warmth and charm to each parklet.

Grayslake, IL
An 8’ x 32’ deck was installed in Grayslake, IL. This deck included custom signage on the railings to highlight the Grayslake area. Laser engraved and built to last; the signage will remain pristine for many years to come. Cotto porcelain pavers provide a rustic, old world look to the deck flooring.

College Park, GA
The College Park Parklet, began as summer pilot program to reactivate and reignite Mainstreet after 2020 restrictions. Local eateries needed help getting back on their feet and additional space to support patrons. Through the coordinated efforts of The College Park Mainstreet Association, City of College Park, participating restaurants, and local volunteers, the largest parklet in the Southeast was made possible. The “College Parklet” transformed nearly 100 feet of parking in front of the Real Milk and honey, Virgil's Gullah Kitchen and Bar, and Johny’s Chicken and Waffles into full-service restaurant patios, expanded outdoor workspace for The Forum, and created a bigger draw for businesses in the building painted by YoYo Ferro.

Richmond, VA
Home to the Flying Squirrels, Richmond is full of people that enjoy time outside. The city of Richmond purchased a 6’ x 14’ StreetDeck parklet to set up outside Hot for Pizza. Large enough to have several tables and chairs, this StreetDeck parklet offers a place for people to sit and enjoy some time outside. Titan porcelain pavers offer a grey look with brownish hues to accentuate the deck.

Columbia, SC
Outside the Columbia Museum of Art in South Carolina, there was interest in having a place for people to socialize. A 6’ x 32’ StreeDeck parklet proved to be the solution. Custom painted with unique and colorful designs, this parklet stands out as a place for people to come together either before or after visiting this great museum. Riverstone porcelain pavers are used for the flooring, beautifully complimenting the colorful parklet.

Hastings, MN
A beautiful 18x20 StreetDeck parklet was constructed outside the Busted Nut restaurant to give patrons a place to dine and socialize outdoors. This parklet fits many tables comfortably so that diners can enjoy the nice Minnesota days. Greystone pavers were used for the surface to give it a modern style.

Athens, OH
The Union Street Diner in Athens, OH was looking to create additional outdoor seating. They worked with StreetDeck to build a 6’ x 32’ size deck to accommodate the desire for their patrons to dine outside. Greystone porcelain pavers were used to create a stylish and easy to maintain surface for the deck.
